I wanted to watch Superman, but due to the timing, I ended up watching Pirates of the Caribbean. Again, I was pretty tired and it was another late show. And this time I dozed off for a few minutes during the big action scene. I had recently scene the original movie just for fun, so it was fresh in my mind when I saw the sequel. Not surprisingly, it’s not as good as the first, but that’s not why I didn’t like it. It was so much more slapstick type of comedy and some parts were ridiculous. I don’t know, maybe it was my sleepiness, but I found certain scenes difficult to understand because of the character’s heavy accents.  If you liked the first one, though, you should still see it.  It’s not horrible.
Biggest complaint: Keira Knightly’s character was so…retarded. I don’t understand how or why she did what she did near the end (don’t want to give it away). I felt it was unjustified within the film. I don’t know, maybe I missed something while my eyes were dropping, but…for the spoiler and the rest of this post, click on…

C’mon, you were engaged and about to be married! As I look back, the only main thing I can think of is the very beginning scene when she’s kneeling in the rain. Was she having second thoughts there? Maybe, but still, there’s no explanation for that.
